Kemoterapiye bağlı alopesi gelişen hastaların beden imajı ve benlik saygısının belirlenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırma, kemoterapinin yan etkisi sonucu alopesi gelişen hastalarda beden imajı ve benlik saygısının belirlenmesi, beden imajının benlik saygısına etkisinin değerlendirilmesi amacıyla tanımlayıcı, kesitsel, ilişki arayıcı bir çalışma olarak gerçekleştirildi. Araştırmanın evrenini grup olarak hizmet veren özel bir hastanenin günübirlik kemoterapi ünitesine ayaktan tedavi olmak için başvuran hastalar oluşturdu. Örneklemini ise Mart - Eylül 2016 tarihleri arasında kemoterapi tedavisi sonrasında araştırmaya dahil edilme kriterlerine uyan 395 hasta oluşturdu. Veri toplama aracı üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde "'Hasta Bilgi Formu'", ikinci bölümde "Vücut Algısı Ölçeği'", üçüncü bölümde "Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği" kullanıldı. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler IBM SPSS programı kullanılarak analiz edildi. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistiksel yöntemler, parametrik yöntemler, non-parametrik hipotez testler uygulandı. Hastaların yaş ortalaması 49,79±13,007 olup çoğunluğu kadındı. Medeni durum, mesleki durum, ekonomik duruma göre beden imajı puanları arasındaki fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulundu. Eğitim durumu, mesleki durum, kanser türü, kanser evresi, hastalık süresine göre benlik saygısı puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulundu. Benlik saygısı ve beden imajı puanları arasında zayıf, negatif yönde anlamlı ilişkinin olduğu belirlendi. Hastaların beden imajı arttıkça benlik saygısının arttığı saptandı.This study was carried out as a descriptive, cross-sectional, relationship-seeking study to evaluate body image and self-esteem and evaluate the self-esteem effect of body image in patients who developed chemotherapy side effects after-effects alopecia. The study's patients constitute the patients who applied to the day-care chemotherapy unit for a remote treatment of a special hospital serving as a group. The sample consisted of 395 patients between March and September 2016 who met criteria for inclusion in the study after chemotherapy treatment. The data collection tool consists of three parts. In the first part, '' Patient Information Form '', in the second part 'Body Perception Scale' and in the third part 'Rosenberg Self Respect Scale'. The data obtained in the study were analyzed using the IBM SPSS program. Descriptive statistical methods, parametric methods, non-parametric hypothesis tests were applied in the evaluation of the data. The mean age of the patients was 49.79 ± 13,007 and the majority were female. There was a statistically significant difference between the body image scores according to marital status, occupational status and economic situation. There was a statistically significant difference between education status, occupational status, type of cancer, cancer stage, and self-esteem scores according to duration of illness. It was determined that there was a signi?cantly relationship between self-esteem and body image scores in the weak, negative direction. As the body image of the patients increased, the self-esteem increased.
