Kasık bölgesinde ancient schwannom: Vaka sunumu

Abstract

Schwannomalar schwann hücrelerinden kaynaklanan tümörlerdir ve vücudun herhangi bir bölgesinde görülebilirler. Genital bölgenin zengin innervasyonunun olmasına rağmen, bu tümörlerin skrotumda görülmesi yaygın değildir. 25 yaşında erkek hasta sol inguinal bölgede ağrı ve ele gelen kitle şikayeti ile başvurdu. Skrotal ultrasonografide inguinal bölgede solid kitle tespit edildi. Cerrahi eksizyon yapıldı ve histoloji ancient schwannoma ile uyumluydu. Bu sunumunda inguinal ancient schwannoma olgusu literatürle birlikte incelenmiştir.

Schwannomas are tumors that originate from Schwann cells and which may occur in any region of the body. In spite of the rich innervation of the genital area, these kinds of tumors are not common in the scrotum. A 25 year old man presented history of painless scrotal swelling. Scrotal ultrasonography revealed inguinal mass. Surgical excision was undertaken and histology was an ancient schwannoma. We report ancient schwannoma of the groin with a review of the literature.
